I hope you all enjoyed Christmas with your family and friends. We had the best Christmas here at the Smith household, sharing it with Erin, Hayley, my mother and Chris.
As we are putting things away and gearing up for NYE, we are reflecting on how so many things have changed in our lives in the year 2019. Hayley moving back to Shreveport and dating Chris, for one. My retirement and career change, for two. My grandmother’s passing, for three. Nola and kitties starting to warm up to each other ever so slightly, for four.
We also are remembering all of the good times shared with family and friends. My cousin, Nick, got married to Taylor, bringing us all together to celebrate. My aunt’s birthday celebration at The Grand Hotel. Our trip to New Orleans for the “Boycott Bowl.” Our annual trip to the beach (plus an extra one over Labor Day). A few trips here and there for work/pleasure. And, our family’s annual Christmas Extravaganza. All making great memories.
As I reflect on the blog, I am thinking of all of the past New Year’s posts on the books. In case you missed some of these, or if you just want to read again, I am sharing some of my favorites, from recipes and DIY to workouts and beauty tips.
